All cottages have complimentary WiFi. For most networks the mobile phone signal is intermittent but a signal can be achieved on the car parking land which is situated opposite Dee and Dum and to the rear of Thimble Cottage.
There are wonderful walks and cycle rides straight from the doorstep of all our cottages; you are welcome to bring your own bikes.
There is a Riding School in the next Village just a few miles away.

Carsington Water is not far away and offers both watersport tuition and hire.

The village shop is within a minute's walk of the Cottages which also has tea rooms. There is a Post Office / general store and together with Peak Feast provide tthe basics for the Village. Otherwise, Bakewell, which is 3 miles away, has almost everything that you would need during your holiday.

Surprisingly for a village, Youlgreave boasts 3 pubs, all of which serve food. The George; located opposite the Church and has a reputation for fine ale and take away fish and chips. The Bull's Head is in the heart of the village at Fountain Square offers good value wholesome pub food.

The Farmyard has a bar and separate first floor restaurant where the steak is valued by many of our Guests. For a broader range of restaurants, Bakewell has inumerable shops serving all day breakfasts, teas and snacks, together with several well thought of Restaurants.

 

Peak Feast, secreted further up the road beyond Tweedledee and Tweedledum, behind Thimble Cottage, is open everyday and sells Coffees and Teas together with cakes and a selection of Pies and other foodings.

There is a single private off street parking space provided for each Cottage.

Thimble

There is a small sunken stone walled courtyard garden to the rear of the cottage, accessed from the kitchen. It is ideal for pets.

Tweedledee

There is a walled courtyard garden to the rear and side of the cottage with a secure door leading to the street. Many of our guests like this feature as they bring their own bicycles. Being walled all the way round it is ideal for pets.

Tweedledum

There is a small terraced walled garden with stone steps (slippery when wet, please be careful). The garden is ideal for pets.

Dawson's

There is a small patio area to the rear of the cottage and there is a gate between this area and the street.
We welcome well behaved pets and babies at all our cottages. Pets are not allowed upstairs at any of our cottages. We are not insured to take children at any of our cottages, only babes in arms - please take care as the stairs are steep in all cottages.
There are log burners at Thimble & Tweedle Dee Cottages which is perfect for cozy evenings in.

We have installed a woodburner at Tweedledum but we need to carry out major building works to make it useable so it is just a feature at present.
There is a microwave at all of the Cottages.
There is a dishwasher at all cottages except for Thimble Cottage.
There are DVD players and a selection of DVD's to watch at Thimble, Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum Cottages.
For additional comfort, Thimble, Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum cottages have memory foam mattress toppers.

Tweedledee and Tweedledum have fabulous hand carved hardwood four poster beds.
Available at each cottage.
Tweedledee and Tweedledum are right next door to each other with Thimble and Dawson's Cottages opposite. We are therefore able to accommodate up to 8 people at one time in Youlgreave. Booking well in advance for large parties is essential.

Many of our guests return with friends and family and book more than one cottage as they like the privacy and space of separate cottages.
